Telephone calls were hard wired and expensive and often hard to connect. Today we carry our phones with us and we give little thought to the cost. In fact many of us are communicating all around the world, practically for free, thanks to our internet connection.

No longer does it take days to weeks for us to get a message or an important piece of information (especially written) to a friend or business associate – we can get it there in the blink of an eye on the internet.

We used to get together and gather with friends in our local community. Today we have hundreds of friends in our virtual worlds like Facebook and My space.

The world is opened up to us and is free for us to explore. This is a wonderful thing!

What are Keywords? To put it simply a keyword is what you put in the search box on Google. A keyword is one, two or more words. Usually you will use more than one word and a one word keyword is too broad. For example if I was looking for something to do with fishing, if I searched “fishing” I would get millions of results. So I would refine it a bit more and search for “fishing rods”. This would narrow the search. When we add keywords to our site we need to be very specific to get results.

Taking Control Of Your Website - Creating and managing your website content using wordpress for blogging and as a CMS.  How to best make use of text, photos, audio and video so that the search engines give you loads of FREE and targeted traffic.  Learn the golden rules of search engine optimisation that most people are too lazy to put into effect, and what simple steps you must take to put your website to the top of the search results.
3. Integrated Online and Offline Marketing – Build your brand identity and learn how to drive even more highly target traffic to your website from offline using promotional products for your business.  Simple ideas for small business that don’t have to cost an arm and a leg.

When we sat down to plan the workshop, we thought about we haven’t liked about workshops that we’ve been to in the past, and decided to do the opposite.  As a result, we’ve decided to make this a very hands on workshop.  We want to show you exactly what works for us and answer your questions along the way.

The format we’ve come up with is quite simple really, our presenters will explain the concepts, demonstrate how it works and work you through the processes step by step, while you learn how to turn your website into a powerful marketing tool for your business.
