AccessNow designs and builds WordPress plugins, web apps and mobile apps. This page explains what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version: the only personal information this site asks for is what you type into the “Work with us” form. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of visitors.
The enquiry form
If you send an enquiry through Work with us, the form collects your name, email address, optionally your business name, the kind of project, your budget and timeline, and your message.
- Why: so a person can read it and reply to you.
- Where it goes: it is saved privately on this site and emailed to AccessNow. Nowhere else.
- How long it is kept: until it is no longer needed, or until you ask for it to be deleted.
- Who else sees it: nobody. It is not sold, shared or used for marketing lists.
To keep spam out, the form also checks how long the page was open before you submitted it and limits how many enquiries can come from one internet connection in an hour. That limit is counted against a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself, and it disappears after an hour. Your IP address is not stored with your enquiry.
Apps you can try in the browser
Some projects here can be launched and used on the page. They run in a sandbox with no access to this site, and nothing you type into them is sent to us or saved on the server. Anything the app keeps lives in your browser for that session only and is gone when you close the page.
Support requests
Some project pages have a “Get support” button. Opening it loads the AccessNow Support app from support.accessnow.com.au. If you send a message there, it goes to that system along with what you choose to include — your message, and whichever contact details you give so a reply can reach you. You are not asked to create an account, and nothing is sent until you press send.
Cookies
Browsing this site sets no cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site, which is AccessNow staff. There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies.
Things loaded from elsewhere
Fonts, images and scripts are served from this site, not from third-party networks. Two exceptions, both of which only happen if you ask for them:
- Videos. A project page may embed a video. Playing it means the video service (for example YouTube or Vimeo) sees your request and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
- The support widget described above.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this site records requests — the address requested, the time, your IP address and your browser’s user agent. These logs exist so the site can be kept running and secure, are not used to build a profile of you, and are discarded on the host’s normal schedule.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email martin@accessnow.com.au and it will be dealt with promptly. If something about this page is unclear, say so and it will be fixed.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date below changes too.
