The block theme that replaced Thrive Theme Builder on Sunshine Coast Karate. It does presentation only: templates, template parts, theme.json, section styles and a few template-bound patterns. Content, blocks and data live in the SCK plugins, so the site keeps working if the theme is ever swapped.
The look is Sandra’s design: Montserrat and Manrope type, navy with a sunrise gradient, and the dojo’s own photos. There is no build step, just theme.json, HTML templates, PHP patterns and one small stylesheet.
What it does
- A brand you can’t break. The palette, type sizes and spacing are locked, so nobody can type a hex colour or a pixel font size by accident. The range of looks comes from section styles (Light, Dark, Brand, Photo overlay, Card) and block styles instead.
- Templates for every page type. Front page, pages, landing pages without the usual header, posts, the blog, archives, search and 404.
- Fast fonts. Montserrat and Manrope as variable fonts, cut down to the Latin set and preloaded.
- Phone-first touches. A sticky call-to-action bar on phones, visible focus rings and respect for reduced motion.
It is built for Sunshine Coast Karate rather than for release, so there is nothing to download. Moving off a page builder tells the story of the whole rebuild.
